anyone try these LED tails?
Was thinking about ordering some depo blackline taillights off ebay and saw these..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E90-06-0...f34ac5&vxp=mtr anyone try these? I'd love to see a pic of them lit up both day and night.

I have a brand new set of smoked Depo LED's with anti flicker kit from **********s. i still havent had a chance to put them on. i prefer to get the bulbs coded out but cant find a local to code car for me. i will add the kit if i dont find anyone soon. im usually iffy about buying certain things off ebay and would prefer too buy from a sponsor here on the forums. heres a pic of mine.

I just need to know exactly "what" I need to do to get these tails to work... other than coding? I assume the dealer can't do that so I need to find an indy? Any issues with swap the reverse bulbs from old to new? I still want to see a pic of them lit up...

dont do it
I bought these off of ebay and returned them. They looked cheesy and as the other have said they throw errors and need to be coded as well as flicker without the correct modules. Another thing to consider is when you do add the anti flicker module it adds a delay to them lighting up after the brake is touched.

I got the non smoked full led depo lights from jlevisw with the anti flicker kit and they work great. Never had an error code from them and I've had them for about a year! I think they look good IMO.

Jlevisw used to sell ones that look like these (they still might).
I recall hearing a few people have trouble with flickering when the LEDs would fire over the course of a few months if they lived in colder climates. Jlevisw would claim the anti-flicker "modules" that they could include were installed by the owners incorrectly, despite having a few months of initial success. I almost bought a pair. |

Just noticed the auction says Depo in the title but then lists the manufacturer as Helix?
+1 for Mod bargains

I will take a video today and upload it tonight so you can see how they look like etc.... I personally LIKE them a lot just because I prefer LEDs much more but the ones that I have right now were a pain to install, in particular getting the light bulbs to fit into the housing...there are only 2 light bulbs each side anyways but it was a pain nevertheless.
Check back tonight I'll post the link... |

I have them but i had no problems like everyone else is saying. When my car was being repaired after a big tree branch fell on it..I just told them to throw them on while they're at it. No problems. except sometimes the flickers go crazy like once a month but 10 secs later it goes back to normal. Thinking of switching to blacklines because they kind of do cheesy during the day but at night they look sexy IMO sooo haha no point in spending more for a small reason.
