Thumbs up CDV removed today

Ordered the modified CDV from Zeckhausen and took the car down to Mr M Car in NJ, Don and his assistant do excellent work. They let me poke around under the car and even adjusted my UR exhaust to fit a little better.

I always thought, eh the clutch is fine why bother going through the hassle...let me tell you..you NEED to have this done. Now the engagement is super smooth..no lag, the feel is tons better and the pedal is perfectly weighted..picked up a bit more pressure which was needed.

I highly recommend doing this, and if you are in the NJ area take it to Don. He works out of a hanger at a little airport.

The CDV is about $35 from zeckhausen and Don charged me $45 for the job.

would you suggest this for someone who has been drive manual for about 2-3 months? Does it make driving easier?

Where did you get your UR exhaust installed? Does Mr M. do suspension work on the e90s as well?

More natural feeling w/o the CDV. Recommended.

How are you guys lifting your car?
I tried using a regular lift with those plastic pieces and the plastic piece broke.

Whats a plastic piece on a lift?

Use ramps man. Ive had a pair of ramps for 10 yrs now and they are the best thing. Couple those with a creeper and you can do anything under the car.

Regular floor jack... I have one that has a circular fitting at the end almost like a hockey puck. You broke the plastic at the jack point under the car? If your jack doesn't have the circular fitting at the end use a piece of wood or something so you dont damage the car.
