Need Advice!!
Ok now please dont flame me on this. This is regarding forced induction and this is the only forum that people respond to threads faster in. So anyways on my A3 2.0T i have an ECU on it right now. But what happens is that it will go from 0-130 extremely fast without any hesitation. But from 130 on it crawls. My question is what do you think can help the top end, intake? exhaust? downpipe?
Feedback Appreciated SoCalRS4 |

Better aerodynamics would help a lot at those speeds. Lowering the car would probably do the most for you in the aero department. If you have any wings, remove them.

I have the same problem. Golf V Gti. The problem is the power dies at high revs due to the K03 not being able to hold boost. A dowpipe will help a little in that area.
But the best solution is a good induction. I fitted the ATP to mine & not only did in crease the power everywhere, but the power peak shifted about 300-400rpm later. |

That's it, you need to get at least 250whp+ (like the 335i) to accelerate comfortably above 130, the ability to pull out at top speed is the difference between the M3 and 335i (more hps).
The 303wtq will only help you during initial acceleration had hill-climb.

wtf..... my 330 would pull just fine up there and it had 192whp. and what you said about the m3 is bullshit. the stock vs stock m3 has 333hp and 335 has 300. So at top speed m3 will pull harder because at top end thats hp.

I got some dyno's of before & after runs with the ATP CAI. Need to dig them up. I also have an ECU flash & DP. |
