///M Roadster Steering Wheel
Ok...So I have this silly obsession with the STEERING WHEEL ONLY of the M Roadster...I think the aluminum trim would match my aluminum trim interior nicely...So I found this. Seems to me that I should just be able to use the spoke covers...but the ones listed seem to be black...if my german serves me anyway...
So...I'm thinking 2 things. Either the silver is underneath the black...or there are silver spoke covers out there not listed. Anyone?

Why don't you find a non-M Z4 steering wheel with the aluminum trim, and just remove the aluminum spokes to put on your //M steering wheel? It should fit right?

There's a kit like this to convert the standard steering wheel to a Multi-Function Steering Wheel, which essentially is the tabs and some buttons. None I've seen come with the ///M logo, however.

Get on down to a good hobby shop and ask for Bare Metal Foil.
. Modelers use it to simulate chrome plating, and, well, bare metal. It is available in several colors and finishes, from chrome to dull aluminum. . It is self-adhesive and wears pretty well. Worth a try. |

Not sure why you think the M roadster's wheel has aluminum spokes or aluminum trim, or aluminum anything. Mine doesn't.

M-roadster has never had aluminum spoke covers. No Z4 has every had them from the factory either. Regular Z4's just come with the silver painted plastic covers.
If you want something that resembles aluminum, the OEM chrome-line cover kit that epbrown posted is probably the closet you'll get. But they're still just plastic.

Just like the M inside door handles the steering wheel is painted that color, which anyone can do.
Check with Leatherz.com they have done different leather covers for steering wheel spokes. I will look into imola red leather to match the seats. |

I like the model foil idea. Gonna examine my Z4 MC interior and imagine how it would look to wrap the wheel spokes and door pull covers in a brushed aluminum.
200mph, do you have any product links in case my local hobby shop sucks? |

If you do it, please feel free to show us what it looks like. I haven't pulled the trigger on this one...not that that's unusual for me.

I do worry though, that the aluminum foil adhesive might not be strong enough for the door handles or pulls. Or I could be wrong. |
