Well i am new to the BMW scene about to pick a 07 335i this weekend

I have a GTR that makes 1000whp on E85.. I love the stuff

What is needed to run E85?

Injectors? pumps? fuel lines?

Can a Jb4 do E85 tunning with a pump map and e85 map? or will a cobb work?

I am currently running a cobb on my gtr and familiar with the software and operating

What kind of power can i expect.. with bolt on and E85

What is your other car again?

You just need a tune that will allow you to change ignition correction and turn up boost to a safe level depending on the amount of e85 to 93 that you are running. That'll be good for now for you to run e85. As for hardware, only time will tell.

Go down a dozen threads or so and check the thread "JB4 has a new E85 compatibility map....."
I'm on my cell so I can't link it.

To some it up, many of us are running E85/93 blends and having good results.

At this time there is no upgraded injectors or pumps.

Read up/good luck

Edit, there are a couple people gutsy enough to try full E85. Unsure what the final results have been. They just mentioned some "hiccups"

As far as I know, people are not running straight E85 yet. They are doing blends of up to 50% with pretty good success. In its current form, you will not get any gains if you use it with Cobb. If you want to run Cobb, you would need to get it pro tuned to take advantage of the higher octane afforded by E85. Upgraded injectors do not exist for this platform yet, so that is not an option. Both the JB4 and the Procede can both take advantage of a certain amount of E85 with decent gains. E85 is something that is just really starting to get explored more in depth on this platform. You should be sure and log to watch your fuels trims though if you plan on running it.

The GT-R is a really awesome car on E85 with bigger injectors! We haven't done a lot of testing on the BMWs with E85 yet, but we are concerned about how the HPFP will be affected running 100% E85. Also, we don't yet have an "injector scalar" to run straight E85, but it is something that will most likely be available in the future. People have been successfully running blends of E85 with custom tuning though. A tuner could easily make a few different maps for you to load on the AccessPORT that you could switch between, just like on your GT-R.

Honestly a simple 10 second search would have answered all of your questions.

93 + Meth is the best solution.

Even with E85 you will want to run meth for the cooling benefits.

Possibly, but you'd want to log IATs to see whether it's necessary for your particular application. Long boost pulls such as road course or very long airport drag runs would be the best cases to justify methanol use.

If the HPFP and other hardware doesn't puke from alcohol content, then E85 is going to be as big in the N54 community as it is in other makes.

Vishnu is working on an ethanol content sensor and mapping to make best use of E85 and blends as well. Hopefully that would mean less custom tuning, just fill and go!

from my understanding E85 is a much cooler burning fuel. Just requires much more fuel to make power

I made more on E85 with the proper fuel system then i did on C16 with my GTR. we did get more aggressive with the tune

I know were talking about 2 different cars but i would think the fuels characteristics would remain the same

i could be worng though

its def an options

My goal was to have 1000+ wheel with a fuel that i can get at the pump.

going to get meth or race gas for me, made using the car a hastle.

I could prob pickup a few HP but the convience of "Pump" E85 makes using the car such a pleasure. Plus if i wanted more power i could just runa few more PSI

34 psi is what i can max my turbos out at. 29psi got me a 9.2 @154 pass.

Drove my car to the track, made 6 all sub 9.5, 150+ runs and drove it home

only change was my tire pressure

Pumps are local to me so i was wondering if it was an option for these cars.

Hopefully in time it will become one.

Thank you for saying that... I was also wondering what the overall opinion on meth over there in the GTR world is?

You still have to "get" E85 though. Its not at every pump. (At least where I live)

What does it clean if by the time it reaches the manifold it has evaporated??? Therefore what could it possibly do to valves... Common misconception
