Vishnu Updates (535i, v1.47 map, PROcede v2, etc,.)

Hi guys,
Things have been really busy over here these last few weeks. Here are some updates:

1) The PROcede for the 535i is done. Here are the before and after results. As tested on the same dyno, same day, within minutes of each other:

The stock car make 272whp and 275lbft of torque which is slightly less than most 335is we've seen. This is probably due to a slightly more restrictive (and quieter) exhaust system. Then again, the car only has 900 miles on the clock and should make a few more hp when it loosens up a bit. With the PROcede, power jumped as high as 315whp and 340+lbft of torque. Needless to say, the on the road performance is substantially better than it was when it was stock. Most notable is the midrange grunt and power response which makes the car feel much lighter than it really is. Very enjoyable. The map we are using is different than the maps we are using for the 335i.

2) As for the 335i, we have just released a new map (v1.47). This map eliminates any misfire related codes that a few people have triggered running older maps. Other than that, it offers the same performance as the 1.45 map that hasn't disappointed anyone on the dyno. Also released is a Lower Boost Target (LBT) version of this map for those who live in high altitude and/or can't hit the boost targets in the non-LBT map. Both maps, as well as a stock/valet map, have been posted in the "What's New" section of our PROcede support forum (http://www.vishnutuningforum.com/for...isplay.php?f=7)

3) PROcede v2 update: Things are going very well. We've been adding new features every week it seems. One of which involves finally using the PROcede's on-board memory to keep track of how hard the car is driven, the driving conditions, etc,. and to adjust power output accordingly. What this means is that we are able to achieve v1 levels of max thermal loads (which has proven to be bulletproof) while still allowing v2 levels of power when the conditions are appropriate. This is just one of the 4 new features offered in v2. You guys will like it. Should start local trials next week. Then non-local beta trials the following week and then production soon after.

Cheers,
shiv

Good job on completing the 535i PROcede kit. I'm sure after a few driving cycles the DME will adapt and should yield more power.

With v2, peak boost will still max out at 13-14psi.

And it's still looking like a bump in WHP by ~ 40WHP?

changes in ignition or even VANOS timing can really alter the power curves.

probably advancing timing or something; boost isnt the only way to tune an engine... he was talking about controlling power output depending on how hard your driving (presumably for temp reasons) so that might be part of it

We do offer overnight delivery but it only makes sense when we don't have a 1-2 week backorder (as we do now). We have PROcedes units in stock, preprogrammed and ready to go-- but we are still waiting on our harness where should have been here by now. According to the manufacturer, we're looking at early this upcoming week for delivery. Once they come in, another 40 or 50 kits will ship out, leaving 10-15 kits in stock for a few days/hours/etc,.
