3D Design F10 M5 Slip-on Exhaust

3D Design has released their F10 M5 slip-on exhaust to the Japanese market. This system was developed with 3D Design's technology partner, Arqray. 3D Design is also working on developing a more comprehensive solution for the F10 M5 and will also release a "Export" system featuring a more aggressive exhaust note.

Those tips are monstrous! Befitting a monster car

Beautiful looking exhaust. Any idea how the sound will compare to Eisenmann systems?

This specific one is the JASMA approved system so it is comparable to a Eisenmann sport, however, their export system will be more aggressive. Video and more information are going to be made available shortly. These are the first official photos 3D Design Japan has released.

I'll be doing this I think - personally don't need a full exhaust. What size are these tips?

Traditionally they do a 4 x 80mm rolled stainless steel tip, however, the tips for the F10 M5 look to be roughly 10mm larger than the standard tip. I will have more information after the holiday weekend.

Any plans for front/rear connecting pipes, or rear section only? Looks/sounds amazing!

Currently 3D Design only has a rear muffler section available in either Domestic Japanese spec. or Export sound. 3D does plan on creating a more compressive exhaust, but their current priority is finishing up the external reservoir coilover setup.

We had a local 3D installation lined up, but unfortunately for us and the client his vehicle was part of the oil pump recall. As soon as we are able to get the client in here we will be able to develop a more informed opinion between the two.

From a design standpoint the Eisenmann sport and 3D Design exhaust are very similar. From the 3D video and hearing the Eisenmann sport rear section in person it seems as though the 3D exhaust is in between the sport and race.
