BMW to introduce iPhone connectivity..

This afternoon, BMW will be the first automaker to announce a fully integrated system for Apple's brand-new iPhone.

Initially, the German automaker will only offer integration for U.S. models, but with international sales of the iPhone a given, BMW is likely to extend the technology across to other markets.

does this mean my current march production e92 is ready for the iphone, or will future BMW models have full integration? thoughts?

well it was either:

a) eat cheetos and drink Jolt soda while playing computer games all day

b) wait in line with fellow apple loyalists and discuss apple's business strategies/apple cheat codes

+ get a niphone before all of your cyber-friends do!

i think b) is definetly better for the soul, and i applaud them! i love apple myself, but avoid lines at all costs!

Wait until Christmas.

1. Let them work out the kinks.

2. As we all know by now, the first batch are for suckers because they are more expensive in comparison AND they are of lower capacity. Right now you have a choice of 4 or 8 GB< which is barely enough. I believe by Christmas you should have something like 12 to 20 GB available.

This is not news. It's already built-in if you have iPod adaptor and Bluetooth.

yeah, i went and picked one up no problem. no wait, nada. went in, store was crowded, but i got to mess with one for about 20 mins. pretty slick device

if i had a phone that worked well, i doubt i would have bought it, but i absolutely hate the moto Q i have

That's my setup - works perfectly. The only further level of integration I can see is the use of bluetooth to stream from the iPhone in your pocket to the audio system.

I stood in line for 3 1/2 hours and I was like #50. Fun / funny crowd. =)

Outstanding piece of technology . . .

The iphone isn't tetherable to laptops and AT&T has slow network speeds Booo!
Oh yeah, thanks to itunes, there won't be any music management without connecting to a computer.

i Tunes sucks. I just bought a factory refurb Nano, copied a bunch of songs onto it and they wouldn't play. Turned out I had to download Apple's bloated 40MB iTunes crappy software to install the songs in order for the Nano to not crap out.
