My buddy with the SE wants to have a few friendly runs with my slk
Stock vs Stock then he's going to Cobb it and run again.
What are his chances in both scenarios?? Most likely 2nd gear to 3rd gear pulls

I've tried a 335is cab prior to this slk and that car felt plenty fast.
So less weight with the SE will help a ton.

I just don't know. Any inputs are appreciated.

Subscribed, Parents have an SL 55 AMG too and Ive been trying to get them to take a few runs against me, no such luck yet (own a 335XI too)

well in my opinion, i think stock youll beat him. if he goes cobb stage 1...you still might win, if he went stage 2 hed win.

A member of the SLK forum has already taken delivery of the new SLK 55 AMG.
Looks absolutely amazing. Would be better if fenders were flared a bit like the C63. 415hp TTV8 in a small car. It's going to wreck a lot of cars including current M3 and the C63

Your parents SL 55 is much faster than my SLK 55. It has a supercharged v8 that makes 500+ hp where as SLK only has the same v8 without supercharger making only 355 hp.

I'll report back as soon as we run. Probably this weekend

Stock for stock, you will beat him handily. With a tune, it should be just about even.

I thought the SL Kompressor meant it has a supercharger. And the SL meant NA? Just looked in the engine bay and couldnt make out much because of the fatty engine cover it has. Ill check tomorrow more extensively. I know it has 500+ HP but it also weighs as much as a full sized SUV lol

SL 55 AMG (kompressor)- supercharged 5.5 V8
SLK 55 AMG - N/A 5.5 v8

They are the same engines except the one in the SL is a supercharged version

Well my parents car has NO Kompressor badge... Is it possible it was de-badged before they bought it?
