335i mesh grill

I just bought these black mesh grills that were supposed to be modified for a 335i, but isn't it blocking the oil cooler? Can someone please chime in on whether these are good to go for a 335i or if I need to modify them.

Wouldn't the oil cooler be on the pax side? If so, then the pax side doesn't appear to block it so you are good IMO.

Are you positive, because someone else just told me that I need to drill holes in it so it wont block the oil cooler.

looks right to me.. oil cooler is on the passenger side which.. only thing i see blocked is the usual half of the drivers side.. unless you're running an intake down to the front bumper, that's the way you want it..

The additional oil cooler is on the right-hand side. And that is only if your have one, i.e. if you have the "840 - Increased top-speed limiter" option. (However, if I remember correctly, after some point they started putting that oil cooler there on all cars, regardless of 840.)

In any case, you can easily check where your oil cooler is (and whether it is there at all) by looking into your front passenger-side wheel well. There should be an easily visible air exit grille installed in the well. Through that grille you'll be able to see the oil cooler itself.

The left-hand side is supposed to be half-blocked unless you have the Performance Package 2, in which case the blocked part needs to be unblocked to accommodate the extra water cooler air intake. But that's for N55, and you are N54.

So your saying that the grill that is half blocked goes on the driver side?

Half blocked grille = driver side. The oil cooler is in the passenger wheel well behind the fender liner if you have one. You don't need to drill holes in the grille.

Oil cooler was also included with the sport package/ 18in wheels combo correct? I have an oil cooler and no 840.

Yes, oil cooler as well as "840 - increased top speed limiter" option is an integral part of Sport and M-Sport packages.

You mean you have no Sport package of either kind, but you have the cooler in E90?
