PROCeded 335i 1/4 Mile Time - Stock Tires, Stock Exhaust

Just got back from the track. I was actually hopping for a better time after seeing some of the times on DragTimes.com

60' 2.061
330 5.622
1/8 8.573
MPH 84.74
1000 11.061
1/4 13.201
MPH 106.24

The 2nd best was

13.349 @ 109.25 60' was 2.265

I can't get a good launch with these tires at all I got the 17" stock tires on so I'm not surprised that I can't get a good launch.

What kind of tires did some of you guys have on when you did the 1/4's ?

I'm no expert, but if you ask me, your 60' time isn't too great.

What do you mean 17" tires? Do you have sport package?...mine are 18.

No sport package. I got everything other then the sports package. I decided that I'd go with after market rims so I didn't want to spend the extra money on the sports package. I didn't really fancy the sports seats either.

Although overall I think I should have gone with the Sports Package, had I known it would have come with an Oil cooler I would have been all over it.

The 60' isn't too too bad but obviously with better tires I would have been able to launch the car better I think.

109.25mph. Good trap speed for an otherwise stock car!

WOW 13.2 with a 2 second 60 foot, makes me wonder how the procede guys are getting 13.0 with their 2 second 60 foot.

Yeah it's interesting but I am noticing a better trap speed for some of them. Here is Shiv's run as an example from DragTimes.com

111.177 8.664 86.770 2.227

13.195 @ 111.177 where his 60' was 2.227

Then again he did have his exhaust on and dynoed @ i think 20 more HP then me. I think he may have been on 18"s though not sure.

If you had drag radials and maybe a lsd, your 60' would be about a 1.8". Every tenth you save on the 60' is worth about 2 tenths at the end of the track. You could have easily run a 12.8 @109 with traction. A trap speed of 109mph with a stock exhaust is awsome! You are making tons of power.

OK...so I went to my local 1/4 mi. track last night too. I got in 6 runs. I hardly spun my wheels/tires at all, but I have 19" Mich PS2s. What a fun time; my best time was 13.097 sec. @ 106.67mph (w/ a 60ft. time of 1.977 sec.). My fastest trap speed was 107.29mph, but on that run, I did 13.171sec.

I know I could get into the high 12's (~ 12.8-12.9 sec.) with better weather and track conditions...it was 84 degrees F w/ ~ 65% R.H...the air was so thick last night, you could cut it with a knife. I'll scan in and post up my best timeslip next week.

In regards to my Beltronics FX2 -- I tested it last night at the track, and it was off by less than 2/10ths of a sec., but.....it was SLOWER than my actual track time. So, Kujo is right and wrong, at least for MY specific FX2 unit. It showed 13.2 sec. when the track timeslip shows 13.097 sec.

Anyhow, it was my first time at the track...a lot of fun, and I was happy with my results. I can't wait for PROcede v2.0. :rocks:

btw -- my brother ran his Lotus Elise w/ Nitrous (and intake) and his best time was also 13.0xx sec., so I was just as fast as him with Nitrous and an intake. Also, most of the other cars -- a GTO, VW GTIs, Mustang GTs, Acura/Honda ricers, etc. were all running in the 14's-15's; even a Mitsu Evo ran ~ 13.8sec.

I am right lane. CDV sucks. I removed that yesterday and will go to the track next Friday to take another shot.

Did you have your car dynoed after the PROCede?

What were your numbers on the dyno?

It appears that few others have your acumen when it comes to consistency. In more ways than in just driving.

Sounds like a case of spinning to MPH to me, or perhaps knock retard.

Hard to say without knowing every detail of the run. It is rather easy to drop a few mph in a manual if you dont shift at the right rpm, slow with the shifting itself, etc. Sure he had a decent 60 foot, but could have easily messed something up in the rest of the run.
