I am rubbing slightly in the rear. I am running 19 x 10 et 27 with a 265/30/19 invo tire. My fenders are not rolled and I do not plan on rolling them or do not want to add camber plates. What are ways that I can prevent this rubbing issue. I heard bumpstops should help with that but I do not want to spend any extra money for this if I don't have to.

I was wondering if I change the alignment in the rear to -2.5 or max out the camber in the rear would that cut the rubbing out or you think I will still rub? The other option I had in mind was to down grade my tire size to a 255 in the rear. How many mm am I giving up from a 265 tire width? Will this cut out my rubbing issue if I switched to a 255 tire and left the camber alone without maxing the camber?

the "mm" space really depends on tire brand/model too. a PSS 255 tire is like the same as an Invo 265 tire. depending on how much you mean by "slightly", switching tires might solve your problem.

i plan on sticking with the invos. So you think if i switch out the rear to a 255 that should resolve my rubbing issue? Approximately how many milimeters less is it? Are we talking about 1-2 or we talking about 10 mm?

The first number in the tire size is it's tread width in millimeters.

so that means from a 265 to a 255 that is 10 mm lost? Well I guess it was pointless to add 10 mm spacers if I go with a smaller tire size right because then it will sit as if i didn't have spacers?

265 refers to the width as someone pointed out. so a 255 tire is 10mm narrower than a 265 of the exact same model. this means theoretically, you have 5mm "less" on the outside (and 5 less on the inside). thats why i said depending on your definition of "slightly rubbing", 5mm less tire width may or may not solve the rubbing issue. (since the clearance on the outside edge of the tire is what matters as far as fender rubbing.)

if you get 10mm spacers, itll push the entire set of wheel and tire outwards 10mm. that means everything (wheel/tire) as it currently sits moves out 10mm. if you're already rubbing and dont want to rub, putting on spacers is counter-productive. you'll just rub even worse until you stretch the tires to compensate for the push.

Yeah right now I have 10 mm spacers in the rear and rubbing. And going to a 255 tire would give me that clearance but now it won't be flush. I guess that is what happens if you don't want to roll your fender. It has to give somewhere. I think I am going to try bumpstops first and see if that solves my rubbing issue

If your only rubbing slightly camber will help I doubt you'd have to max it out. Going down to a 255 would probably work too. The wheels will still be just as flush the tire will just be a little more stretched.

how much camber should I make it (-2.0 or -2.5 or -3.0)? I mean my sidewall just has light scratches on it but I can hear it rub when I go on dips and over bumps. It isn't rubbing severely but on some driveways i can't make it up with my ride. So you think my adjusting the camber itself that should solve the problem?
