Probably because it's $76.00 w/ free shipping from Tischer. You would have to drop the price enough to make it worth coordinating meeting up and driving to NoVa to get it. Otherwise, it's not worth saving $6.

I am interested as I need an oil change soon but I agree with Laid Black - although it's new - you still bought it and need to take a loss - or just keep it?

If I could get it shipped to my door for free for $76 - I would much rather do that - and I live around you.

Laid Black, I understand that however there needs to be a starting point. I have it up for $70 and have gotten two offers for $50 which I countered at $60 and they didn't take it for that.

In business, both parties need to be fair and reasonable to make a deal.

Where are you located? Feel free to shoot me an offer, perhaps we can work something out.

One more thing to note, it's not $76.00, it's actually $79.95 because Tischer adds a $3.95 handling fee, so my price is $10.00 less from the start.

lol for some reason when people counter over a few dollars it turns me off to the whole deal - for example - if I say 50 - u say 60 and i say 55 will u counter at 57.50? it's like just set a firm price and away we go. If you want to recoop 100% of the cost you paid - hold out and just say price is firm - but no one is going to offer you $5-10 less than your asking price - that's just not good business. that's my two cents - glws

deezofchuck, I'm going to make it easy for you. You can have it for $60, that's an easy $20 in your pocket. To be clear, that is my final price.

I'm not sure of your business background, but you and I differ on how to handle transactions. Why would someone not offer $5-$10 less than my already discounted asking price? $60-$65 is still a great deal for these items. For the record, I'm not trying to recoop 100% of what I paid, that would mean I would ask $79.95. Also, how is giving a fellow e90 post member a $20 discount on a widely needed/used item not good business?

I think you misunderstood my point which was the act of offering and counter-offering. I was just merely saying that people counter over a few dollars. Yes - saving $20 is still saving - I am not arguing that.

I personally would not offer $5-10 less than your asking price b/c I think that's a slap in the face. Either give the buyer his asking price or try to get a good deal. I don't want to haggle with fellow e90posters, but some people just are not reasonable. The point of bartering is to see the seller's bottom line. Yours is clearly $60. Then the community will tell you via responses if that is the actual market price.

Either way - I'm sure it'll be sold in no time - I will probably go with mobil1 anyway.
