Winshield Tint / Electronics

I am trying to get my front windshield tinted due to my eyes and light problems... However my tinter says that he is afraid of the electronics that are around the window. Ie mirror and the whole box behind it.

He does not want to risk it since he is doing the whole windshield and it has to be very wet to apply it. He also mentioned one of his previous bmw clients took the mirror off and tape up the electronics before he tinted his glare strip...

Any insight? Recommendations?

Then you need to find another tint company. There are plenty of non metal tint that do not interfere with electronic devices. They just cost more.

Llamar air blue windshield tint. Ceramic base, no interference and perfect.

I think op was wondering about whether it's safe to spray all that water up on the windshield, given the amount of electronics nearby.

I'm looking into it myself, since I'm considering a clear ceramic to keep the heat down.

Guys i think i wrote it wrong.... Its not the film that im worried about.. When he sprays it to put the film on there its going to be pretty wet. Hes worried about the water somehow damaging the electronics if it gets on there... I need to take the mirror off and wrap the electronics that are attatched to the mirror i guess??

+1. Air blue is used by local LEO's who spend the day in their vehicle. They swear by it.

You can remove the mirror and then you'd just have to cover up the rain sensor
