225/35/19 or 235/35/19

I currently have OEM RFT on my BMW 230 wheels. The front/rear are 225/35/19 and 255/30/19 respectively. I am looking to replace them with Conti DWS. I did quite a bit of search on this forum and most folks are running 235/35/19 up front and 265/30/19 in the rear. If I strictly consider tire diameter comparison between front and rear, it appears that 225/35/19 is a better match for 265/30/19 than 235/35/19. Just curious why people pick 235 over 225? Is it for visual appearance reason or else?

Thanks,

Kirk
