Advice on bringing rims over the boarder

Hey guys,

So I am going down to Seattle to pick up a new set of rims and tires and I am wondering if anybody has experience bring it over the boarder without being taxed too badly. The rim and tires are used so hopefully that will help a little bit. Any advice on which boarder crossing to go thru or how to declare it would be great.

Just declare whatever they cost and it will save you a lot of stress while waiting in line and it will save you a potential hassle.

If you do the math of how much you will save on taxes when paying 13% on declared value you quickly realize the savings aren't even worth the hassle.

My seller provided a receipt for a much lower amount (yet believable), and I paid less duty/taxes.....

Would this work if i am buying from a private seller and not from a store?
