Those damned Roasters!!!

Actually, the journalist is somewhat right... I DO wear my car. But that's only because I'm driving a sports car and not what the journalist actually meant.

Good find!

here is a gals guide to the cliff notes....BTW, I love Mens Health and subscribe to it to help to understand you all.

"Despite this, in absolute terms, vehicular death remains overwhelmingly a guy thing. According to the most recently available Fatality Facts from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, two-thirds of all motor-vehicle deaths in 2002 were males, including 71 percent of driver deaths and 90 percent of motorcyclist deaths. Even male pedestrians get run over twice as often as females.

Why do we keep crashing? The statistics here are unequivocal: Men are much more likely than women to speed, drive aggressively, fail to wear seat belts, and drive drunk. In the case of the latter, 39 percent of all male driving deaths involved blood-alcohol levels of .08 percent or greater, compared with only 18 percent of female deaths.

"It's been suggested men don't get in their cars," says Lance Strate, Ph.D., a professor at Fordham University who's examined media influences on male roles and driving behavior. "They put them on--like a suit of armor."

If driving under the influence of testosterone is dangerous, then doing so during rush hour is practically a death wish. Almost twice as many men as women have fatal accidents at evening rush hour, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

In a study of male and female commuters, Hennessy found that men who reported becoming highly stressed during the drive to work were likely to commit acts of aggression once there. The most stressed-out women commuters, on the other hand, showed no such tendencies.

Apparently, automobiles bring out a man's inner imbecile."

This is such good stuff.

I'll confess......I wrote that article. I really needed to get in touch with my "inner 9 year old future lesbian birdwatcher and general hater of fun"......but, I digress.

There are those drivers who get pissed at ANYONE going faster than they go no matter what they drive.

The article was pretty funny and I'm pretty sure the author was havin' a good time spinning us guys up.

Hey stop it! My Maldives baby is always so well-behaved. I admit though, that Cobalt was a damned animal on the road.

I bet you Rick was clipping some elderly people standing on the curbs in his oversized minivan.

"Just then, a baby blue BMW roadster flies past at an ungodly rate of speed and cuts us off to take the next exit."

Yeah... it certainly wouldn't have been Yal, because if it was then he'd give you that puckered-up-kissy-kissy look.
