Logic 7 speaker Settings??
Hey guys
Anyone have any suggestions what to set the bass level etc... for a good overall sound??? I cant seem to get it quite right..... yes I guess I am kinda anal when it comes to sound settings...and I am just not quite satisfied with the levels I have tried. Help! |

I turn the Bass and Treble all the way up. Then I mess with the EQ by bumping it up or down a couple of notches. Try it.....then crank it up! :rocks: :rocks: Sounds nice right?

I think if you turn up bass and treble together then all you have done is crank up the volume. lol..
back to original poster's question: I leave the treble at default level and crank up bass about 3 units higher. I haven't mess with the EQs yet. It depends on your preference and what kind of music you listen to. |

Why are you asking other people for what sounds right?
No one has your ears, set it to something, listen, and adjust.

I have the Bass at +2, Treble at 0, and the fader pushed towards the rear by 3. Logic7 is activated in music mode, and the EQ is tuned. 80Hz is up about 6, 200Hz up 2. Everything else is left flat except for 5K and 10K which are both boosted. 5K about +4 and 10K about +7. The logic processing boosts vocals and mids, so the 500Hz, 1K and 2K don't need anything. If you don't listen to rap, do what I did with the lows. It will give you a nice kick on kick drums but won't get that low pitched rumble when you crank up the volume. The 5K boost gives the sound a lot of "color" and the 10K emphasizes details in high-hats and other multi-frequency instruments.

[QUOTE=Gavinw]Logic7 is activated in music mode [QUOTE]
What is music mode? In Logic 7 settings (I-Drive), I see "Off," "Concert" and "Theater." Are you referring to "Off" when you set your system to music mode?

Do whatever you want with your car of course, but fading to the back is the exact opposite of what's typically done in car audio. The fronts are your mains, the backs are just for fill and atmosphere. If you trust that BMW configured Logic 7 with this in mind, leave the fader at center (0). If not, bring it forward. But pushing it to the back be "right out".

gavin you set your eq setting wrong..remember that EG frequency level should ONLY be cut not highered. so on the logiz 7 eq never go to the + positive numbers..only go lower..something technical blah blah blah so going lower means louder..ahaha i dont know all details but its true. generally the lower hz freq are usually your subs for more bass around 80-150 hz. and 300hz- 1 Khz are mids and anything over 1KHZ is treble..that shold help..
