Here are my questions for everyone who has had this problem to date.

1. Are you a Sedan or Coupe
2. What month was your car produced?
3. Does everyone having a problem VIN# (Last 6 digits for privacy) all fall within the same range.
4. Exact what happens when you experience this problem?

I have had no recognizable problems (so far) @ 8,200 miles. I picked up my car on November 24th of 2006, so it was built in Late Oct/Early Nov. 2006
The only "issue" I have experience to date, is my car "loading up" at Cold Start-up a couple of times. Smooths out after about 20 seconds.

Hope my questions are a worthy discussion....

Hate that so many are having this problem.....I love my car....

The one thing we can say is that it does effect both sedans and coupes. It also strikes at random and production date doesn't matter. There are members with bad pumps with March 07 built dates, and some members with over 10K on a Fall of 06 built date and is still just dandy.

What I want to know is if it's factory related...meaning if the folks with bad pumps came from a particular factory or not.

It'd have to be a very very big batch to affect folks from Sept 06-March of 07. I think the ball is on BMW's court now to fix this sooner than later. With the 08 models coming out soon, and the 535i...the FP issue can not simply be ignored anymore.
