Performance Intake + Exhaust Video

took a spin on the mountain over the weekend, thought i'd share some of the sound and noise this combo makes. please pardon my limited driving skill and enjoy the video(windows all up, PI+PE ~3000miles old).

it might sound a bit weird right after u install it, but let it settle down over miles, it will start to growl!!

sound in the video i would say is about 95% there, it does sound a little bit more crispier in person but pretty close. You can kinda compare to yours n see if any difference.

I remember when i got my PI in, engine sounds a little more deeper n u can hear it sucking air. I had PI in first.

Um take the exhaust off and cut it while it is off the car. Takes like 30 seconds with a sawzall.

Nice sound but...

Why you partly deactivated dsc when you didnt even use it by driving so gently
Dude.... That road is perfect for leave some rubber on it... Come on ... Use the force
When you try to do revmatch on downshift , do it faster - faster rev up and faster clutch press and sepress. I know its not track driving but when you lear to do it proper way you will do it all the time that fast, i do it even in my diesel

Great scenery btw

give me a break, not really dare to go wild with 1000ft drop waiting at every corner lol, but good advise though, I guess my 3rd to 2nd is so hard to pull with my short shift lever and short shift knob, it will take some time for me to perfect the timing.

warranty will be covered if you go BMW but anything else will void it, i know everyone says it depends on the dealer but at this point its up to you.
One thing I have laerned from aftermarket products is they never do enough R&D compared to BMW and when things go wrong thay all give you the run around or customer service changes from when you bought and when you replace it. I know this from experience i had major problems with skunk2 products aka junk2's... go oem or go aftermarket but be prepared for known issues that come with aftermaket.

Yeah man I know, that's why I went with the PE because I have the extended 100k warranty and I didn't want to mess with it.

I REALLY have the urge to drop my car now but I still have 50k miles til I hit 100k, idk what do do at this point. Honestly, my scheduled maintenance is next week and my next one won't be for another 15k miles, which will take a while.

Think I could just drop my car on H&Rs and aftermarket shocks and if any issue arises, just go back to my OEM before taking it in?

Or should I just avoid it overall? I mean, there shouldn't be any issues right?

Haha I really want to drop it.

dropping the car is always a nice thing dont get me wrong but from experience the next thing that wears and affected fast are all your bushings unless you upgrade everything too. I would upgrade the following to 1.poly bushing, 2.camber kit for front and rear along with control arms 3. full coilover setup will be the only thing worth it which is very costly and sacrifices your ride quality which is a given for any after market coilover system. If you have the zsp/sports package i would just leave it or go with the new BMW sport suspension setup and i think thats like 17k+ which is perfect since its designed by BMW. I have the sports packeage on my 07 e90 328i with staggered 19 8.5/9.5 and i love it. later down the line i will get the new bmw suspension kit with the gold springs.
