No power to Wheels?
So my car has 350 miles on it and its a 335 coupe with sports and premium package. It starts clunking and something seemed to be hitting from start in any gear but most noticable in 1st. Then after about 30 miles there is no power to the rear wheels. Car has no lights and engine works perfect but when i put the car in 1st or any gear for that matter it wont give power to the wheels. It wont stall either. Could this be a cracked axel? it only has 350 miles on it!!!. Any ideas whats wrong? its a 6spd.

Parking break? are you kidding me? i said theres NO power to the wheels. I was thinking clutch but how soo dang soon. This isnt my first stick and i didnt drop the clutch or nothin. Seems like the connection with the driveshaft and the back wheels. I dont know but this sucks

The Q is why would that half shaft, or more likely, the rubber donut connectors, have broken? They are rock solid. Maybe the bolts in the connector donuts were left out? This is bizarre. I wonder if there is anything that the dealer screwed up for prep.

BMW does use lightweight shafts. I am amazed that one 'broke' though, it's never happened to me...

They ordered the part on monday and had the car back today at 11am. They also knocked off a payment. I asked and he said if i had an lsd it would have rerouted power to the right wheel. weird though. He said im the first and he also said that the whole fuel pump failure seems to have stopeed as they havent had any probs with it for a few weeks but who knows.
