first extended highway drive

Drove 300 miles last night to the mother in laws place. Eco pro mode with cruise set at 73 mph. Manual in sixth the entire way. Wife, luggage, dogs, dog cage for husky. Driving up and down the mountains of Appalachia. Managed 36 mpg.

The seats seem to feel hard into hour three and by hour five I simply could not get comfortable. I'll need to spend more time adjusting the seats but I'm somewhat disappointed with them. I guess I'm spoiled coming out of a Saab in terms of seat comfort but these should be better than they are.

No other issues. Impressive car without a doubt.

How was Eco Pro with the interior climate? When I used it in a 320d on a cold, damp day it would briefly deactivate the A/C and the windows would slightly start to steam up. Any discomfort or temperarure fluctuations? Have you got the Sports Seats? Can't see your car spec on this app, so I'm assuming it's a 335i.

328i sport manual trans

Yes, I'm remarking about the sport seats. Though adjustable in every which way, the foam is quite firm and intolerant of depression.

Leaves you feeling like you're on a semi rigid surface and not sitting in a chair.

Eco pro did fine. Outside temp ranged from 50 to 32 during the drive. Not a problem with moisture whatsoever. HVAC was set to 68 auto on both sides.

Still in the deciding stage, so that is very helpful to me, thank you.
If you sat in any non-sport seats, were you able to discern a difference?

I have the sport seats in my current 530i. Test drove two new 328i's with and without sport seats. Sport seats are much more comfortable than the standard ones and on a long trip are the way to go.

Sport seats are standard on the Sport Line - I don't know if they can ordered on the other lines.

Sport seats can be opted for in all lines. Indeed standard in Sport Line trim.

In the US, you can only get sport seats with the sport line. It is impossible to order them with the modern or luxury lines. Maybe this will change with MY2013.

Sat in both, and I must say the sport seats are much more comfortable than the standard seats.

I got inspired by this and did the same this morning. 328i in Cruise Control with EcoPro, from Newport Beach to LAX, 75mph the whole way.

It was so efficient that my highway mpg was more around 40-50mpg, it upped my total mileage from 20.5 to 21.6 so far. I filled up my gas tank before leaving, and when I got to LAX, it said it was still full! Eco Pro said that it gained 11.2 miles just on the way up.

I'm just under 1200 miles on my car, in the last month, and I drive mainly city, hence the low mpg. But that should go up quickly now!
