Message: 'Navigation DVD blocked'

Get this when I press the eject button, does it mean blocked as in 'jammed' or does it need a pin code or something to unblock it ?

Any ideas ?

Cheers

Never seen that error message.
There was one occasion that I pressed the eject button but the dvd won't come out. I removed the keys, gave it a few minutes and tried again. the dvd came out.
As far as I know, there are no pin codes to enter to enable it.
My guess is that the dvd is jammed.

My SUV does this from time to time and I have to disconnect the battery
for a full reset and then the disk comes out.

I recall an old discussion a year ago that this is a feature to prevent people from stealing your Nav DVD.

But, I don't recall what the default Security Code you have to enter to get the DVD out.

Someone must have locked it (like locking a keyboard on a cell phone).

Hope this helps.

I would do a search on this forum regarding the locking code.

Thanks Larry, I have had a look and one post says the code is 4321, but do not know where I enter this, where would you think ?

I've been looking in the E90 US Manual and it talks about BLOCKED, but does not say how to unblock it.

I'd call BMW Customer Service on the telephone.

Good luck.

Sorry I couldn't find it.
