2007 328i coupe

Hey guys,
I am going to ask a question, and I know many will respond "just buy a 335i" and I completely understand, however, that isn't a reality at this point in time. In the meantime, I would like some more speed as I likely won't be making any vehicle changes for at least another 2 years.

What is the best bang for the buck to get this car faster! I appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Buy a used BMS Powerbox from this forum for $200. Sell it later for a flash tune when you are more comfortable with it.

Get an exhaust for FUN, not for power.

For 6MT, get an SSK, clutch stop, and clutch delay valve.

Do what's in my sig, followed by a 3 stage intake mainfold install and AA tune. That will put you at the limit. Only thing to push pass that is a super charger.

Do all that and you'll still probably get smoked by a $18k Hyundai.

Thanks for the great advice guys...and a good laugh...pretty depressing to get smoked by a Hyundai..but you're right, we'll look good in the process.

It's truly a damn shame. I remember people saying that they made the 328 underpowered this way so that they can make a large gap in MSRP for the 335. How about if I don't want FI and I can't afford an M3? Why can't I get a 328 and keep up with competition?

Whatever I'm ranting and I'm not even that concerned with power, but what a fail from BMW.

If you want to add power do the following and call it a day.
- BMS Powerbox
- K&N Air filter with Grey carbon delete
- 3-stage manifold
- MMW exhaust.
- and if you want to get crazy there is MMW headers.

That is all the power you need and you will be happy with.
