There are few real gains to be had on that engine unless you bolt on a supercharger. Welcome

Any time.
It's easy to sink £5k into a non turbo petrol just to get about 10% more power. Contrast with the average turbo with a bit of software for £500 releasing maybe 20% The diseasals are an easy hit actually. Rarely trouble to tune, cheap and economical. If you can live with the tractor sound

lol well it was a toss up between the 320i and 320d couldnt afford anything higher for insurance purposes only 22 was thinking about sticking an air filter on not wanting to stick on a full induction kit or anything just wanting a little grunt when putting the foot down i know that theres not much BHP Gains from filters do you have any experiance with filters if there worth sticking on or will it even give me the little grunt im looking for was looking at just a k and n or a BMC filter?

You won't notice, or measure anything.
And you need to tell your insurers. Total waste of money IMO. Start with the handling...or just make it look pretty.

perfect cheers m1bjr youve been cracking help ive got m sports suspention and drilled and groved brakes so the handeling isnt that far off, theres not much im wanting to do in regards of the look of the car its a big step forward from my mk1 focus! lol the only things i was looking into was carbon rear defuser with twin quad exhaust rather than the single tail pipe the interior is all carbon ( not to my taste to be honest like that when i bought it) also got black kidney grills ill get picks posted up shortly once ive given it a damn good clean!

That'll be good.
Glad you like it I sort of miss the hot hatches. And can feel a track day hatch coming online again this year. You could do something with the audio, it's got a lot of scope for improvement like most oem stuff. I have a Bastuck quad on mine, and its a nice soundtrack. If you can simply shoehorn a different (335?) diffuser in there and get some pipes made it's going to be quite easy then.

i still have my focus but its only a 1.6 SE again not alot of potential for getting more BHP without maybe dropping a 170 in it they are ment to be a bit hit or miss but if u get a good 1 should have alot of scope for tunning, ive found a few rear defusers and exhausts for the 320i and again a few defusers that should fit the Msport bumper,
yeah i seen a few threads on her with a alpine upgrades looks a peach! its just trying to fit it in behind the door card |
