From what I've read here, it's likely to come out in 114 years. Is that correct?

Dinan may take time, but when it comes you know that the the reliability, smoothness, research, testing, and OEM quality will be there. They are an engineering firm with some serious test equipment.

dinan to me just is not worth it. I would bet that it will make no where near the power that a procede v2.0 makes and will cost probably double. But to me its no problem to switch out parts to take it back to the dealer.. plus i know the number one rule you wanna play you gotta pay...

sorry, but this is a useless speculation. How can U know? It does not exist + U havent see the v2 either.

Whit all the respect to Wishnu let's be honest. Once they break into the system, they can do virtually anything, so if it will be weaker like the Pv2, it will be because they want it this way (e.g. security/safety/reliability reasons), not 'cuz they dunno how to do it... The question is when and how will be the big break-in done, as it seems to me like it's more of a task for a hacker like for a car technician...

What I don't get is people talk about how they have significant engineering staff and all these resources. Then why the hell does it take so long for them to come out with new products that don't really provide much of a significant performance gain for the most part? I mean they just came out with some E90 stuff not too long ago. How long has this chassis been out?

Maybe it's just that I'm jaded by my work environment but, if we moved that slow we would be getting our asses handed to us week in week out. Kind of like they seem to be getting.

Or it will be weaker so they can sell you their $15,000 turbo upgrade to make the power the "right" way.

It takes them time because they actually test stuff to a similar extent that an OEM would.

Don't hate on Dinan. Look at E46 M3 software... Dinan did it right and reliably... meanwhile Jim Comforti's Shark Injector extracts some more power than Dinan but also seems to cause blown head gaskets.

Dinan won't risk reliability and they do make good stuff.

lol, the Dinan software makes no power on the E46 M3. Their e46 m3 sc kit is decent quality, but minimal power gains and they actually offer it without any additional cooling. Now that's the way to do this right and not risk reliability.

Dinan will soon have no affiliation with BMW from my understanding. So with the 335 software you'll get less power than the competitors, for double the price of other U.S. based competitors, with no more Dinan "warranty." And think, it's only a few short years away.

BMW is severing ties with Dinan and developing their own performance products. The BMW ECU reflash will be covered by BMWs warranty and since it's their product they will be able to adjust timing, A/F ratios, DSC, rev limit, top speed, etc.. I am waiting for an answer from BMW as to whether the relfash can be changed from one leased car to another without paying the full price again. Many dealers are offerring the JCW ECU reflash for the MINI Cooper S for a few hundred dollars. I am predicting that the reflash for the 335i will be about $500-$750 and will have about 25% less performance than the Procede. I will be first in line!

I would get it as long as the warranty stays intact.

I understand testing things but, damn. They focus on one specific brand of cars and it's not like they have to do all the testing OEM's do. They just have to test the areas their tuning effects. IE: for a tune they don't have to do NVH tests, ABS system, durability of interior materials, yadda yadda. Basically they have to test performance, driveability and, durability. With all the resources they have it shouldn't take that long.

I would also imagine they should get a pretty big back door to BMWNA for a jump start on developing things if they were to continue being associated with them.

exactly... an Shark Injector does make extra power on the M3 and people who have the Shark Injector seem to blow head gaskets while others don't.

And to be more accurate, Dinan software may not add peak power but does add part-throttle power which is important for driveability.

Look, I am not a big Dinan guy or anything, I just think that their product deserves some respect for maintaining the quality of the BMW brand.

I personally feel that it's much better to wait for a polished product, than purchase a product which was rushed to market.

Seems like the "big" tuning companies always move slower and produce weaker results than the niche guys.

100% agree.

I don't see why a lot of guys here aren't waiting to see what will be available for the 335i from the new BMW Performance Catalogue! That should be the ultimate in polished products!
