Manual or auto?

I've had 38.7mpg in my manual. Had over 41mpg before leaving motorway! Best tank of 460 miles... One day I'll do over 500 miles to a tank!

Auto.

Also, saw a peak of 40.3mpg before traffic and town work spolied the plot.

Awesome.

Most of us get that every day - not once in a blue moon

Anyway, you guys will have to stock up well if the tanker strikes kick off.

Actually more likely that you will have to stock up.

Most petrol stations have 2 petrol pumps (unleaded and premium) for every one diesel. Plus more cars, vans, trucks and machinery run on diesel nowadays than do petrol so greater demand for it at the pumps..

If you drove the 335d exactly the same, I wonder what the clock would say?

There is an excess of petrol globally.
Much less diesel is produced than petrol for every refined barrel of oil

Good point and even less people will fill up with the rocket fuel we usually like to sip

That's very good . The 335i is pretty efficient for the output really.

And yes, the price of diesel is going up and up - with the percentage of diesel they get compared to petrol from the refining process (like has been said) I'm starting to wonder how long diesel has as a main stream fuel?

But, in the mean time, I'll just continue driving my eco 155mph autobahn stormer

Of course, none of this would matter if the cost of fuel wasnt taxed so heavily.

We've all unwittingly bought into the eco terrorist agenda but really its all about control of populations through fear and taxation.

I find my avg to be about 29.x which for mixed motorway and town driving is great!
