my 335d just turned 100k - what to look for ?
Just clocked up 100k (bought it 2 years ago for £15.5k on 84,000 miles which were mainly motorway) & service light is on but I'm not prepared to take to the dealers (not so much cost but twice they have let me down badly) so anyone have any ideas what willl need doing. Will go to hughes brothers I think in Derby ( An indie) for any difficult jobs. As I plan on keeping the car for at least 3 more years I dont mind spending preventative money. Car runs very well - very few rattles ( just the one actually when the sunroof is fully open for some reason)
Things I have done very recently or deffinately dont need doing are Discs & pads all round (done 12 months ago by me) Air filter (me) Oil & filter(me) microfilter (me) Gearbox service kit (going to be ordering very soon) Diff oil (will do with gearbox) Have an alternator belt (looks complicated so might ask garage) Boost pipe (done by me) Main thermostat (will wait till next winter now) Coolant (on the list for me to do) Suspension ? (might put new shockers on & lowered springs) What else is there ? What am I missing ? Cheers Jim Last edited by jimmylad; 03-27-2012 at 11:53 AM.. |

Spoke on your wheels are big and hence giving proper black look.
It is looking nice black on black.

loving the wheels, they finish the car off nicely
My 335D has also reached the 100k barrier (102k to be more precise) and will be keeping an eye on this thread. One of the things that I have been looking at is the auto trans fluid change but it may have to wait for a while as the fluid change is not cheap |

Lovely, cheers for that. Just think I'll end up outside all the time trying to black the tyres up! Does look stealth though. But dark colours do seem to make the rims look smaller. When those rims are silver they look huuuuuuuggggeeee
