My new order status

10/28/05 - ordered e90; paid deposit.
10/31/05 - changed color from SG to monaco blue.
an hour later - receive production number.
11/01/05 - Was told that my production week was going to be next week. My saleman traded with another dealer. He said he it's become "priority 1" so he wouldn't be surprised if it goes into production tomorrow. Not sure if that is true or not, but ok, I'll take it. My car's status is 112, can still make changes til it's status 1. I thought I read somewhere here that 112 meant you couldn't. And he also said don't be alarmed when you sign into owner's circle and your color and specs aren't what you ordered. I guess I missed understood the reasoning thinking it'd be different because I changed colors because it said Silver titanium. I expected SG or monaco blue. Well, that is the info from the dealer he traded spots with (Tate BMW). does anyone know if they'll later fix this?

Well, I hope it does go into production by next week and everything runs smoothly, mainly my car!

This is what I got off another site.
My dealer gave me a production status code, what does it mean?
Below is a list of BMW's production status codes:
037 - Order is at BMW NA
087 - Production week assigned
097 - Order sent to BMW AG
111 - Order accepted at BMW AG
112 - Order scheduled for production (last opportunity to make changes)
150 - Production started
151 - Body shop started
152 - Paint shop started
153 - Assembly started
155 - Production completed
160 - Released to distribution
180 - Waiting for export dispatch
193 - Arrived at port of exit
194 - Selected for shipment
195 - Shipped from port of exit
196 - Shipment arrival - ETA

The other things you may have to get from another member of this site. If your build date has changed for earlier date more power to ya. I wish I could be so lucky.

where does the order status code show up? It's not on the site and not on the phone.

You will have to get it from your dealer or speak to a BMW NA Rep @ the toll-free #. Once production starts it will change daily.

Ok...I just checked my owner's circle and they have updated it to show the correct order....well, the exterior and interior only, and my dealer. I think I read on here before that they don't always put the factory installed options in the text box.

Correct, don't expect your options to appear on the website. My car's wasmpleted over 2-weeks ago and still no options. Just make sure your dealer reads the options list off to you from the system.

So my car is scheduled for production now. I've been checking every day like 5 times a day online since I got my production number (11/01). And finally the status changed. Hopefully, I can get it by Christmas!

LOL join the party. I'd call the 800#. It's slightly more up-to-date compared to the OC.

Just called the 800# and she's "in the body shop" according to the automated lady. It's still due for completion on the 10th.

Yes they're pretty accurate on completion dates.

My car arrived at the port on 11/12 for transport and is "waiting for a shipping vessel". Anyways...looking at my car details on OC and it finally lists my options in the text box. Just thought I'd share that, since it has been noted before that that box usually never lists your options in there.

That's good to know. You're one of the few members' whose options actually showed-up.

Mine had a completion date of 11/09, actual production date ended up being 11/12.

Just got a call from my dealer this morning. My car got on the Don Juan last night (11/16) going to NY. It should arrive on the 30th...then take another 7 - 10 days to get to my dealer, according to him.

As of 2 min ago, neither OC, the 800#, nor the shipper's site (can't track by VIN) have been updated yet.

Wow! Your car will be here before you know it.

Edit: Here is some info about the ship that your car is on.

Don Juan

Is talking with the dealer the only way to find out which ship one's car is on? As of yesterday, the 800 number advised me that my car is in transit, but could not provide a ship name.

I'm not sure. But from what I've heard around here that is the best way to do it. The dealer does have access to more up to date information.

Try here: Wallenius Wilhelmsen Shipping

Click on cargo tracking, then click on auto cargo, then enter the last 7 digits of your VIN.

I think you have to use the whole VIN number, but perhaps this works
