OEM suspension opinion
I don't know if it's me only or anyone else feel the same.
I've had E82 135 with both OEM and KW suspension, driven an E92, all seemed nice and sort of smooth on road.. I've got the 1M now, that is really tough on the roads! it feels like total race suspension... does anyone feels the same as i do? a friend has KW on his 1M and it is more comfy than the OEM..

No, the 1M has no runflats, just 'standard' tires. It's just that it has been designed for occasional racetrack use, so the suspension set-up is really hard. But the tires dimensions, profile 35, make it firmer still. Solution: 18in wheels (profile 40) and/or KW variant 3.

135i has all those soft rubber bushings instead of M stuff, and it has 18" wheels. I think your best bet is heavy 18" wheels with maximum width higher profile tires and keep them at low range of inflation.

Yea i felt the same thing coming from an 08 135i. Just switched to bilstein pss10s and even on the tightest dampening setting they still just go over bumps a bit easier.
I also feel the stock tires are very rough i heard pilot super sports are way better ride comfortability. Just my .02 cents |

if the car is driven at less than 100mph: 2,4 bars/2,4 bars if the car is driven at more than 100mph: 2,6 bars/2,8 bars So the 1st easy cure is to drive a bit slower, and use the lowest values !! |

1M is firm no doubt, just like I like it. :P
There are so many variables, and then after market suspension means so many things.... I have a 240sx on Tien coil-overs and and pretty high profile 18inch tires. It is a lot less comfy than my 1M over these crappy Corpus roads. |

The 19" tires and wheels are a big contributor. Just for fun go and try a set of non-run flat 18" M3 wheels and tires and see what you think. The car being too stiff on rough roads was leveled against the ZCP M3 which had electromagentic-fluid suspension and our wheels and tires. Several magazines panned it as too stiff and not much gained from the stiffness. They loved the look but not the ride. If you know someone with a stock 18" M3 wheels and PS2s with stock size 245/40/18-265/40/18. Try them on your car. I think you will find an improvement in ride quality without loosing much in performance. Sometimes a little "give" in the tire is good on less than perfect roads plus the lighter weight of 18s can help.
The one concern is that shock valving/rebound was tuned by ///M with 19s on the track so I'm not sure how the car will handle at the limit in this case with the lighter wheel/tire combination. I think it will be fine. I am trying to find someone around here that can loan me a set to validate it first-hand. |

I think on the 1 M the KWV3 suspension is smoother and less bouncy then OEM, also of course more adjustment and the ability to out perform the stock suspension. I say ability because I don't think slapping coil overs on this car just means increased performance, in fact a lot of the time I think the ill set up suspensions are worse.

My E90 330i Msport suspension with run-flats was harsher than my stock 1M. Now with Michelin Pilot Super Sports installed (same size as stock PS2s) I can say it is almost perfect as a DD and better than with the PS2s in virtually every aspect.
