takes 23 days from Bremerhaven to US?

My car is finanlly get onto ship Kassel of NYK. It left Bremerhaven at 10/27/05, and the ETA is 11/19/05. The information I got from this forum is normally it only take 2 weeks or less from Bremerhaven to US. So the date of ETA is wrong or it's just because my car get onto a slow ship? Because it's a birthday gift for my mom, so kinda worry if they can make it. Thanks for the information.

It takes approx. 16 days for the vessel to hit the East coast ports. I believe it is close to a month for the West coast.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

My understanding is the same. 15-16 days to the east coast and close to a month to the west coast.

depends on the ship and number of places it has to stop. the freedom, which my car is on, is taking 11 days from brem. to NYC.

Mine is on the Kassel as well. Last night I was looking at the world map and thought:"Holy shxx, looks like a ship from Germany to the West Coast has to go all the way down to South America, pass Cape Horn and come back up, that's going to take more than six months !!"

Then I remembered something from my high school geography class -- thank our smart ancestors for the Panama Canal !

Hello guys,

the ship from Bremerhaven to NY port takes 9-10days. I already sent a 20ft. container to your country

I don't know the answer to that. What makes you think that I know how to track it? All I was trying to say is, Panama Canal saves us a lot of time.....my English is really that bad?

No, just because I didn't even know the name for the ship, but you know it, so maybe there is a chance for you to know how to track that ship.

Looks like my order is on the Kassel as well. Anyone know how long after the arrival at port it's going to be before I see my new car?

from port to dealer, maybe around 5 days. But kassel hitting the port at 11/22/05, if they can't go though the vpc fast enough, it will sit there for thanks giving holiday... good luck with that... (my car is on that ship too...)
