Yokohoma S-drives or another recommendation?

Anyone have experience with the Yokohoma S-drives? Thoughts on them?

I was looking at the Hankook Ventus, Continental DW and the Yokohoma's.

When I asked some friends who had Michelin's stated they were an amazing tire but they were terrible in terms of thread life.

go for Advan Noeva AD08 or Michelin PSS. Hankook V12 and DW's have softer sidewalls, less steering response.

I'm on my second set of Yoko S Drives.

They are great in the summer and stick to the road like glue, tread life is pretty good seeing as I got 2 full summers out of them with spirited driving. I just replaced them with a new set not too long ago.

I always buy mine from www.discounttiredirect.com, they have the lowest price and free shipping.

For best dry grip and handling Conti DW > Hankook V12 EVO > Yokohama S drive.

Keep in mind that all three are summer performance tires so do not expect much more than 20,000 miles of wear. Smiles, not miles

Hi Gary. I am looking at the DW and not the DWS. I believe the DW's are summer performance tires and DWS is the all seasons. Is there a large difference?
