How does one fix poor threading on front bumper holes E90

Hi,
I am actually looking for help. I have read here how to plug license late holes in bumper of E90 or other BMW.
But how does one fix overdrilled bumper holes for license plate? The dealer had apparently drilled mistakenly the license plate holes in the front bumper twice and has now created two holes that overlap and therefore the license plate won't hold properly on the two holes because the right hole is not just circular anymore.
How can i fill those holes and redrill into them reliably to be able to fix the license plate securely without risk of it dropping while I am driving?
Or should I simply glue the screws into the hole?

thanks.

Get yourself some JB Kwik two part resin from your local hardware store. Fill the hole up good put your screw in and tape the plate in place until the resin sets up. If your able to feel the screw on the opposite side of the bumper put some more resin on the screw for added strength. You should be good to go.

thanks for the reply.
Is the resin strong enough, you think, to keep the license plate attached to the bumper through vibrations, bumps and wind?

if the holes are really bad and you dont want to go with a tow hook mount i would say you should epoxy a patch over the holes in the back so you cant see it. or use bolts and washers but you would probably have to remove the bumper for that. then aain you would have to remove the bumper to epoxy the patches on so its up to you

Ummmm if I read correctly the dealer did this?
Have them fix it or replace the damn bumper. Should t be the customers problem especially for something as important as a license plate. It is the law after all!
