Clutch covered by warranty/maintenance program?

I recently purchased a 2004 Z4 and the extended maintenance program and I was wondering if the clutch is covered? My wife wants to drive it but she never owned a car with a manual trans (even though she can drive it) and I'm afraid she'll kill the clutch getting "reacquainted"....at the same time I'm afraid of what will happen to me if I don't let her

it should be covered if there's no signs of abuse

but more importantly the clutch won't be ruined by one person learning on it

X2. My warranty covers the manual tranny so long as there's no obvious abuse. BMW's got such an outstanding tranny, if your girl has driven one before, it's like riding a bike . She'll be driving like a pro in a jiffy!

I had my clutch repaired under warranty but it wasn't a worn clutch, it was a spring that was popping when the clutch was dissengaged, they replaced the clutch, pressure plate, springs, etc just to be on the safe side. N/C

I asked the same question to the SA last time I took my car for service, and he assured me that clutch wear is covered under the extended service maintenance program, that he has replaced several under the program. Take it with a grain of salt

Teaching her won't kill the tranny. Prolly burn out the clutch though. BMW installs a funky little clutch delay valve (official BMW term is Lock Valve) which limits the flow of the hydraulic fluid for the clutch. It'd be quite impossible to dump the clutch or cause any serious damage from a bad student... Should in fact make it easier for her to learn on compared to other makes. Thanks to that annoying little lock valve,

1 clutch is covered under warranty. Or at least my stealer says so. My friend beat the shit out of his mini S and burned the clutch out at 15K and he got one covered under warranty.
