Most aggressive drivers??????
Here in San Diego I'm constantly amazed by rude and dangerous driving habits. The most frequent moron moves seem to come from two makes and models of cars........Range Rovers on the high end and Scion TC coupes on the low end.
The Rover types have a major case of "Emperor of the World" syndrome and the boy racers in the Scions get my vote as some of the squirrliest, most erratic dweebs on the highway. What car and driver combo's do our fellow Zposters fear and loathe? |

The only stereotype of driver I try to avoid are people in nasty, poorly-maintained, rusted holes everywhere, type of cars. You know that those people either get into accidents a lot or simply don't care how their car looks or is maintained. I find that those people are more likely to make dangerous lane changes....and I definitely avoid them like the plague in the parking lot.

I personally know a 'boy racer' myself... he is a friend of mine who got in jail before for speeding and such... and he's rich... the last car he totalled was a Lexus IS at 120mph i think. Personally, I hate stupid risk takers such as him... Yet I don't have a stereotype that I can think of myself. erm.. perhaps those people who mod their rides, especially those with super-noisy mufflers.. oh how i loath them. |

Oh yeah, the little boy racers with the HUGE tailpipes and the non working muflers....gotta loathe 'em.
I see so many of those 4" diameter exhaust tips that I think they must be in a competition to see whose car has the largest asshole. |

Yep, wings......lord have mercy. I saw a bright yellow Honda S 2000 with a GIGANTIC black wing on the trunk lid......totally absurd. Looked like a crow screwing a lemon.

Well, the single most aggressive move I've had anybody pull on me wasn't from a hotrodder, it was this gomer in a minivan, who intentionally sped up to close me off so I couldn't get in front of him before he snail paced past an 18 wheeler, on an otherwise wide open freeway. I'm REALLY glad I was paying attention, because if I had just been assuming he'd maintain speed, I might have changed lanes right into him. Then he gives me this "what the hell" gesture when I eased in anyway (safely, but he'd clearly thought he'd pinched me off before slowing back down to match the truck's speed again). My blinker seemed to mean nothing to him.
I could just read his mind... "look at that sport's car... he thinks he's sooooo coool. . . I'll be damned if I'm gonna let him get in front of my slow assed piece of henpecked domestication. . . WHA??!!! How'd he do that? Who does he think he is??? What a prick!! I HATE guys like that!!" I just had to shake my head as he got smaller and smaller in my rearview, STILL parallel with the semi. And I bet he tells his friends about this aggressive move a Z4 pulled on him on this otherwise open freeway. I think he felt threatened or something. My guess is he was picked on by the cool kids in gymn class. |

Bluesharp's vignette about the mouth breather in the mini van is very apt.
Cool cars, particularly BMW and Porsche seem to provoke some of the citizenry just by their existence. Before I purchased Zeddi I had been driving pickup trucks and vans for several years (don't ask why, ok?). My previous BMW's seemed to annoy certain people but I'd forgotten (or repressed) that aspect of life with a Bimmer. Well, nothin's changed. That white Zed with the cool wheels just flat pisses some folks off. I get cut off, tailgated, challenged to race by moronic children, jeeeeeeze louieeeeeze, the torture..........but I can take it because I eat my Wheaties and I mounted the M-60 on a ball turret. |

I think the entire country is plagued with bad drivers. There's just no escaping it, unless you head over to europe. But even there you'll find aggression...it's just moving a hell of alot faster

No matter how rich he is, doesn't it get to the point where no one will insure him?
