Standard USB Audio Interface Help
Has anyone managed to get this to work?
It doesnt seem to matter what i do, it reads the device for about 10 seconds and then says 'not supported'. I've tried an Ipod & Iphone, as well as a bog standard USB thumb drive. I've tried MP3, MP4a & AAC file formats. I've read the hand book and it says all of those formats are supported. Now i'm stuck

I fixed it!
Turns out this USB drive has some daft security software on it. I uninstalled it, reformatted it, then copied my music back on and hey presto! Now i'm happy

Plug the drive into a PC, then when the drive is recognised, right click on it from My Computer and click format.
However I had to uninstall the security software using an uninstall program that was on the USB drive first as it survived my first reformat. My files are MP3 128kbps, quality sounds good on the standard stereo.

please pay attention to the formatting file system.
I assume that the bmw reads only FAT32 file system. You are probably trying to insert an NTFS usb drive. Reformat it with FAT32 and try again. |
