Overheared a rep talking about 3 series...dummy

So, this guy is on the phone in an open office area of Regus.
Imagine a really loud rep, trying to sell Yell.com space (are they not dead yet?) then talking to his mate rep about company cars:

"Yeah, so i said to him why did you get a 3.0l diesel as a company car"

"a 325d doesn't really have anymore torque than a 320d, and the fuel economy will kill him"

"I said he should even have got the 318d - even better fuel, same size engine, but with less valves"

But luckily, this loud Rep who would give us BM drivers a bad name has now got an Audi

It makes me cringe when I hear people talking about cars and they know jack shit...

Oh God! A friend of mine recently started working for Yell. I was speaking to him last week and he kept banging on about "the BM" as he put it. I corrected him by informing him their is an M on the end of the name. His reply was that "when you own one you can call them what you want." I replied "OK, I'll just call it a B then since I owned 2 and mine weren't the property of the company I worked for, they were owned outright by me" He's turned into a right tosser since he started working for them. He also knows jack shit about cars and doesn't even know whether his car is a 318 320 or 330. All he cares about is that it has the right fashion accessory badge on it.

To be honest, the popularity and availability to low level reps like the Yell monkeys is what puts me off saloons like the 3, A4 and C class. It's a shame really.

On a side don't note I don't get how Yell is still going. Surely the printed book is dead and their online products are shite. 3 weeks training at a hotel is hardly enough to make a person a digital marketing expert capable of taking your business further.

Sounds like they are all yell tossers then!

Yell, must charge more for displaying adverts higher on their pages, and he was claiming higher SEO on Google. They were charging one guy £360 per month!?!?!

I suppose they've got to pay their 2,000 million pounds worth of debt off some how. The reviews on Google of their customers experiences make for some interesting reading.

I still use Yell.com or their app occasionally.

The sales guy sounds like a right yuppy twat.

Valves, lol.

I see these freaks every day on my commute to work. No offence to anyone on here but they're usually in their Bluewater 318d SE right up my arse. At this point I usually demonstrate what 6 cylinders do.

yes these people are illinformed, and yes they should be shot. But it does work in Our favour sometimes...

a friend of mine told his other mate that I drove an 'MSport' this one time. He seemed very impressed and kept buying me drinks the rest of the evening.. meh, I just pretended I hadn't heard the original convo. maybe he thought it was an M3 or something ;D

You are wrong matey! An M-Sport is awesome: it just depends what you are comparing it with.
I can honestly say my 320D M-Sport compared with all other motors I have ever owned is awesome. But I have never owned an M3, M5 a 311 etc.etc
It's all relative jerky!

3 points.

1 He is clearly a cock.
2 I taught Gareth and he is a nice lad but totally misguided musically. Also taught Zayn from Bad Direction. Failed on the rock education there!!
3 Lay off the Audi!
