Driving Gloves...Yes/No
OK lets hear it.....
Not talking about track gloves here.... Every day, garden variety, street, driving gloves..... I've never used them before; I don't know if it's because of the fat juicy M wheel or what, but my hands get moist (yeah... sweaty) after driving a while. 1. the wheel gets a little slick 2. can't be good for the leather 3. not sure I like the idea of driving gloves.... don't want to look like a poser weenie. what to do....

For myself, I use gloves when it's a little chilly, and I'm going topless. I've never tried real-live driving gloves, but a pair of cashmere-lined leather dress gloves. Personally, I like them, and think they make for a cool look, but I understand exactly what you mean by not wanting to look like a "poser", so I only use them for comfort, when temperature appropriate.
I choose not to wear gloves when it's warm because I'd feel a little like one of those guys that wears sleeveless tee shirts to show off his muscles. Maybe it's jealousy, but I can't help but think "weiner" when I see those guys. (No offense intended to those that wear them, either the gloves or the tee shirts. ) |

The only gloves for driving I wear are the nomex lined ones when on track...and that's only when driving the track prepped M3. Not comfortable with the idea of a soft top on the track at speed...

Driving gloves.....kinda "boy racer" but when it's cold and the top is down I'll wear them.
When I was a teenager I bought a pair of Jim Clark driving gloves from the former accessory mecca of Vilem B. Haan in Beverly Hills. Is there anyone old enough on Zpost to remember that store? |

Nomex out on the track and I do wear gloves in the winter, but not otherwise.
Most leather gloves are slippery on a leather wheel....

Driving gloves ... never.
I will admit to wearing regular gloves on cold days when the top is down though.
