Unhappy brand new 335is with scratch

I just bought a new black 335 two weeks ago and just saw today that's there is a curved scratch about 7 inches long along the bottom of the driver side door. The scratch is hair thin and not noticeable from more than 3 feet away. But my fingernail does catch if I run it across.

Any advice on what I should I do?! And much will this cost me?

So you did not manage to catch who did it?!.... Just come to LTBMW meet this coming Saturday... and talk to LONG... they have their own painting dept... they will be able to help you save cost... I strongly advice not to bring it to any side of the road paint shop...

I think it could probably be carefully filled with clear and then polished over.

nope. best to take it to a pro. i think it could be buffed out. or you can try taking it to the dealer and asking for a repair...how new is it?

Literally just 2 weeks. I think you're right. I'm definitely going to take it to a professional.

A pro should be able to fill, wet sand, then polish out. Many companies specialize in this. We have a local one thats mobile and does perfect work

i have heard stories of people that will take it to the dealer and threaten to return the car (there is some type of 30 day return...im sure of it, but find out first) if they dont fix a certain thing in the car. i know i did it when i bought my 330i cpo..... found 3 big scratches on the roof (previous owner tried to tailgate through a lifting gate and it hit the car) and they ended up doing a "we-owe" which means they gotta fix it.

I'm definitely going to give that a try. I couldn't find anything online about a return policy though.

Detailers will handle it, depends on the severity of the scratch.
