Just did my first debadging, tell me how bad I did

Never debadged a car before, did some research and tried my hand at it.
Got rid of both the 335i and dealer stick ons. I gotta say I like how it came out.

looks good from afar but how does it look close up. I used goo-gone and there were still some outlines of the badges on the car, they came off after a few washes

Thank you. Close up there's no gunk left, I was more curious about left-over lines from everything, I did my best to wash the areas thoroughly before and after. Goo-gone was definitely my friend for the flag badge that was on there, had to use a LOT of adhesive remover for that one. There wasn't any lines I could see, but I didn't look at it from a billion and one angles.

May I ask what tools do you use for debagging? I'm thinking of getting mine done myself too but don't want to stratch the paint.

You use some dental floss on a really hot day and some goo-gone to help loosen it up. After the badge is off use your finger (not nail) and rub the rest off. Use a towel with goo-gone to get any that's hard to get off.

Hahahaa! I had the same flag badge on mine and my wife hated it (she's not from Texas). Justified the CSL trunk lid by not having that badge on it.

Use 3M Adhesive Remover if there's leftover residue. Looks good, I'll probably do mines soon.

From talking around with folks about debadging, the 'sticky foam' that keeps the badge on usually comes off with standard wal-mart goo-gone stuff(s)... i heard from a guy who puts about 30k miles on his car a year finally debadged his 325 at 200k miles and it left outlines of the numbers in the paint. So i guess it all depends on how well you take care of your car i think.... obviously if you put 30k miles on a car a year, you tend to not care about the outside appearance all that much.

De-badged cars always look cleaner. Good job man. I want to do mine as well but its still cold as f*ck here in Kansas.
