Sport Line - Metallic or Black Gloss interior
Which interior combination would you prefer on alpine white exterior?
ALSO: Would black gloss trim be more sensitive to hairline scratches over time? (where it wouldn't be as visible on aluminum). Im concerned because i had this problem with the glossy wood on my 530i before. 1. Everest Gray Leather w/ Aluminum trim+black accent 2. Black Leather w/ Black gloss+red accent |

personnal taste, everyone will have its own opinion... i ordered black trim, even if more scratch sensitive, looks more classy and less "deja vu" than metallic. and your black trim gets damaged, imagine you can change it for reasonable price. as for everest grau, black trim contrasts far better than metallic, (have seen both in one serie). anyway you can't go wrong .

Since the car is white, I would go with a contrast, meaning dark interior. I like contrasts, if you choose a red or black car, I would've said gray instead

I suggest you go check out the trims in real life. When I first saw the gloss black, I thought it was made of plastic. So I thought, "if it's made of plastic, it may as well be a clean glossy black." And I was cool with it. Then I saw the brushed aluminum in another f30, and realized it actually IS aluminum.
I ordered the brushed aluminum. The gloss paint just makes the metal look like plastic. Note: I also saw a painted silver in a modern line (close in color to the brushed aluminum), and that looked like plastic too. The gloss wood looks nice and classy if that's your thing. These were just my observations. Take it with a grain of salt. |

I would have to agree with the "contrast" point
and tremolo, i have seen the aluminum and black gloss in person and i would have to agree with you on the aluminum looking more like what it actually is than the black. thanks for the opinions so far! keep em coming, i need to get back to my dealer asap (tomorrow) |

i think the Everest Gray Leather w/ Aluminum trim+black accent is an awesome choice, i chose the same on a Glacier Silver exterior.
i love the 2 tone look with the black headliner and carpets. i do not like the look of the gloss black, with the red stripe and grey leather....too many colors. good luck! also my wife's X5 is alpine white with oyster interior (similar 2 tone look inside as everest grey on the F30) and it looks awesome!

To me, the glossy black trim looks like glossy black plastic. Aluminum or wood would get my vote every time.
In the Sport Line, I like all three leather colors and think all look good with a silver or white car. But, I am not a fan of black, blue, or gray cars with black interiors.

Neither one. I would suggest black leather + aluminum trim + red matte highlight. Or if you are feeling more adventurous go for Coral Red leather.

I decided on the black trim because I thought it was too bright with the aluminum. You already have aluminum on the door handles, steering wheel, and gear shift.

I, for one, can't stand aluminum. I'd prefer to have no aluminum whatsoever in the interior of my car. It's too cold, too surgical. Replace it with piano black trim or ceramic and I'd be much happier.

I think you should see them in person and decide...that being said you said what I would prefer. I would prefer the grey/black and aluminum.
My opinion is that black gloss looks cheaper than the aluminum (which also looks rather cheap). That black gloss will also get really bad scratch marks, imo. This is my opinion. |

I ordered the black high gloss trim, because I just fell in love with it. if hexagonal aluminum trim was an option I would consider. I love that trim. you cannot go wrong with either but I think the black with red line makes more of a statement and matches the red thread of the steering wheel and seats.

Planning on Aluminum with black strip with Everest Gray myself if I do not get M-Sport. Would really prefer the hex aluminum from M-Sport with Everest Gray. |

pros so far:
black = better contrast, matches with steering wheel & gauges, aluminum = better looking quality, brighter (not typical black), more fingerprint+scratch proof, no more red stripe accent thanks for all the great feedback guys! i just called in to change my order to everest gray leather, aluminum and black accent. only thing that still bothers me is the red stitch on the steering wheel and red instrument panel feel free to keep this thread going though, i'd love to hear what everyone thinks |
