Blue tinted headlights...

I haven't got xenons but would like the blue xenon look....can anyone recommend me a headlight bulb that has a significant blue tint?

the greater number the bluer it looks, I have 6Ks and this is how they look. If you get 10K I think it's the darkest blue.

Well, I love 6K, they are the next step up from 4300k which is OEM, it has a slight bluish tint to it but it doesn't look ghetto... they are very bright!!

Don't do it. You fool no-one into thinking you have Xenons, you seriously reduce the light output and everyone will think of you as a chav!

I have wasted plenty of money to find out which one are best bluish bulbs.
My finding is

GP thunder 8000K is closest to xenon.

See the link for further details
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=643392&page=2

but two problems.
1- They are not bright enough, unless you only drive in city and street lamps are always on. Other option is to buy 100W and not 55W. I have not tried 100W yet.
2- Quality is rubbish, one of the bulb stayed two days on my car and its dead.

In order to find good quality bulb, Philips Diamon Vision are good and bright but you only see bluish colour when you see the reflection of headlights of your car.

Lots of people advocate Philips Extreme Vision, which are bright and just bright.

Hope that helps.

+1.

Blue halogens are ultra chavvy IMHO.

6000k xenons - yes, even HIDs - look good.

6000k effect halogens, don't. And they have the added bonus of offering utterly appalling light output.

To be honest, not being traffic I'd suggest they are not. I'd hedge a bet they would get into 'construction and use' regs. You are only supposed to show white/amber light to the front so anything adapted or made to show anything other would be illegal.

Xenons would be type approved and the blue tinge not intended, more a by product of the bulb discharge.

I'll look into it...
