Philly JB4 update help!

I'm feeling slightly retarded.

I'm not able to figure out how to update my JB4

I've followed the instructions on n54tech to a T, I've reinstalled my tune just to make sure the install was done correctly, I've used three different laptops, and I still can't get the damn computer to talk to the JB4 unit.

I have the cable plugged into the JB4 unit. I've switched the COM ports around.

And I still get the "JB4 Unit Not Found"

SO if you are in the Philly area and you've updated your JB4 unit before and you know how to do it, can you please show me?

I will buy you dinner.

Do you know which comport the laptop is using? Switch the comport to the jb4 the same as the laptop. Hit the start button in the car once without turning the car completely on and login your jb4 through your laptop.

Yeah. It's using comport 3. I've changed it to comport 4, 5, 1, and 2. I've switched it on the JB screen also to the same one my comport is displaying.

Still doesn't work! JB4 Not Found!!!

=( =(

yes. Driver is installed.
Ignition is turned on without turning car on. All lights displayed. There are a few modes with turning on car without turning on car. I tried them all.

Gas shows a level.

Maybe you can help me out Friday.

Yeah sure. I had a similar problem connecting to the procede using the drivers provided. I used my work pc which had win7 32 bit and it couldn't connect. Then I used my wife's brick of a laptop running win xp and it found it right away!

I can bring my serial cable if that'll help?

I'm not familiar with the jb4 interface but I know that sometimes the latency speed interferes with communication. Try changing it to 1.
