M6 Coupe or Bentley GT V8

Trying to decide which of these vehicles to order. Either will be my daily driver. The pros and cons of each are obvious and subjective. Difference in cost will not drive my decision. Not considering cost, which vehicle, and why would you prefer as your daily driver? Thanks for your input.

Well if we are not considering costs the M6 Coupe is a Rear Wheel Drive range topping BMW and the GT V8 Coupe is sort of an entry level All Wheel Drive Bentley. Both cars will be georgous inside and out without a shread of doubt, so it really depends on your needs see which one would be a great daily driver for you.

The All Wheel drive in the Bentley could drive my decision for the Bentley where I am located in Canada because of our harsh winters (except this winter which was very warm) But it looks like you live in Texas so if we had weather as fantastic I would go with the M6 as my daily driver because the BMW has more gadgets like heads up display and such.

They are no way compatiable except that they are both GT body styles. The M6 is massive power, very nice luxury, but very understated so to speak and can easily "blend in" where you can trully use it as a daily driver to go anywhere, literally, to the grocery store or shopping malls or train station.

The Conti, no way. Its just too "much" so to speak, imo. Its very high visibility and a completely different market segment and clientele. It would seem rediculous to see someone putting groceries into a Conti, or running errands, its just not the car for that type of activity.

Its nothing against BMW, I love them and am a life long driver, but, they are just not in the same "class" and I dont see them competing.

I know a few people who use GTs and Spurs as daily drivers... thousands of miles, groceries and the whole nine.

M6 is for sure more sportier and has a lot of great new options.

Bentley looks like a scared frog to me (taste can t be discussed for sure) but it had been improved a lot in terms of weight/ fuel consumption and comfort/ dynamics.

Try to test drive both and you'll see with wich car your heart fall in love

I do as well, but we laugh at them behind their backs

I saw moms driving GT's around in my neighborhood quite often. But only one time in my life, I saw a mom drive an M6 picking up her kids - she might just took her husband's car for maintenance that day.

I still love my M6, it's still a rush to drive and hearing the V10 engine roar. Hope to get in the F12 once it's out : )

I would prefer the M6 as it will be sportier to drive, and has stronger acceleration. But, it all depends on your personal preference. You want a GT or a sport coupe?

Depends. Do you prefer driving a nice car (M6) or having people think you drive a nice car (Bentley)?

Yes, the Bentley does drive well too, but I would think the M6 would be better.

Looked at both in detail at NYIAS and am going with the M6. Weight of Bentley and seeing the M6 in person drove my decision.

One is geared (literally) to deliver sports car performance (M6) while the other is designed as a high end GT (GT V8). The more appropriate comparison albeit vastly different in price and horsepower would be the Bentley Speed and/or Supersport vs. M6.

More Lux less Sport or More Sport less Lux..... Not a bad decision to have to make

Based on pics I am leaning towards Amazonite Silver, but am hoping to at least see a paint sample in person before making final call.

Bentley is more of a big luxury boat that you give your wife, then a sports car.
So defently the right choice!

In regards to the Bentley being, in your words "too much"; you have to take into consideration where the person lives. If you never see a Bentley, well of course it is going to grab attention everywhere it goes. Let's take California for example. They are all over the place, so no one probably pays any mind to them.

Here in TX (Houston for me, can't see where the OP is from on the BimmPost app), there are tons of Bentleys. I see them on a daily basis.

The M6, not so much. I love both cars, especially the Cont. GT V8, but I'd pick the M6. The new design looks great, and I've driven both a CGT and a new 6er. The 6er was more enjoyable.

I think the OP will need to drive both before making a decision.

The Contis look great imo, but as another member said the car will stand out more than the M6, unless you order your M6 in Fire Orange lol. The Bent is just too much for running errands. If you always go to dinner parties or places like that the Bent is a better choice since i think that they are in two different categories. the bent is a supersport while the M6 is getting close to a real supersport, just lacks a little elegance (still both are awesome but if daily driver M6 hands down).

I think the GT is more of a grocery getter than the M6, The GT I could see as a weekday car while the M6 is a weekend fun car.
