The 335d is a diesel, are you serious? N55 is a twin turbo gasser.

It's a N57 Diesel motor.

I came from FBO/meth 335i.
Now I have 335d.

Very different driving feel between the cars. Honestly, I'd probably buy a 335i again if I had to because the car is too quiet. I like the 'entire feel' of the driving experience; noise.

44k is a bit too high for a used 335d. Even if fully loaded.

Depending on the options, you should be able to get a 2011 335d dealer demo for around $37-38K.

Did you drive it?

Re: Mods, there's JBD that'll put the engine into 300hp, ~500ft-lbs territory. Also RENN-Tech tune and Evolve looking at a new North American tune.

See the diesel tune thread in E90Post's Diesel sub-forum: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=643750

I've seen a crap-ton of 335d e90s available around LA recently, as I've shopped. Once I drove one, I dropped the idea... a bit too rough for my liking. The 335i just feels more refined IMO.
