Replaced my waterpump on my 08 335i e92 in the garage on a floor jack and jack stands. Not fun. Undertray needs to come out, sway bar (drops and hangs out of way). Power steering line moved off to the side and radiator fan removed.
Remove pipes/hoses off from waterpump+thermo. Replace. Drain coolant. Tighten up, grab new coolant, mix 50/50 with distilled water. Battery charger, bleed air out (via pump). Best price on the pump/thermo I found was over @ Tischer. Need new set of alum bolts too. PM me if you're interested in doing it yourself, I'd be more than happy to provide a detailed step by step with a few pics. If its under warranty bring it back to dealership. **Pull codes first. 2E81, 2E82 & 2E83 are all indicative of pump. Did you overheat? Yellow or red? Radiator fan on blast upon start-up?

AUTOcotoure Motoring...
They're in Fairlawn NJ, probably a 45 minute drive from queens (off peak hours that is) I would trust those guys to do anything. |

same thing was happening to my car and water pump blew eventually. as i posted here in search of good place to get water pump replaced. i decided to take it to this guy in Brooklyn called BJK Auto repair. he diagnosed and replaced water pump and thermostat in few hour at very reasonable price. my car runs perfectly now . jay |

i just replaced pump on my car (335i 08) and it is not easy but is straight forward. Only advice I will give you if you are doing it yourself that try to get as much ground clearance as possible.. also replace the bolt DO NOT reuse the same bolts again they are literally one-time bolts.
