Internet in the F30

Hi All,

What exactly do you get with "Internet Functionality"? Dealers here in Australia don't really know so I thought someone here might be able to advise.

You obviously get a web browser via bluetooth data from your phone?

What about visiting webpages that play music, will that come out of the car speakers?

Can you display your Android screen from your phone on the screen?

Anything else you love/hate?

The dealers here are being trained from 20th to 24th Feb, so they do not have any idea just yet.

Yes, you tether your phone to the car's computer and using the iDrive controller as a mouse, you can literally surf the web. The car has to be stationary for internet use. I would expect sound to come out of the car's speakers.

bmw.com/bluetooth is your best place for phone compatibility.

Please note that you will need the navigation professional system option plus extended connectivity of Bluetooth/USB etc. as prerequisites before paying extra for the internet option.

The internet on my 2012 Model X3 35D M Sport is useless, very slow to load pages, to slow waste of money.
I do not even bother with it any more, the same system is in the F30, don't waste your money.
