I saw it about 2 hours after it been up but seeing the bids keep going up n up with many more days to go, i assume he is getting friends to make the price higher so i'm not bidding it now. really hate sellers who listed as 99p then make friends bid it up..

Anyway, I expect this to go for around the £600 mark, still less than half price. Bear in mind that you will need to spend around £60 for the 2 missing connectors. |

TBH I wouldn't go near £600 for it (+£70 postage), esp with missing clamps. Granted it's a lot of money new but that's just BMW pricing and £600 with clamps & shipping is very near to or more than brand new Bastuck money which put the PE to shame sound and looks wise IMO but thats me. I'm talking to Regal now about a Bastuck system, wonder of they'd GB? .
Not to put you off OP, good luck with the auction but thought I'd mention a possible other avenue . Last edited by Cozy; 02-13-2012 at 11:35 AM.. |

Yes they look better, but I think you're getting carried away with the sound comment. To me they sound more or less identical.
I'm not sure I could put up with the 'M3 wannabee' jibes, which I'm sure I'd get if I fitted quad pipes, but granted they do look better. Things to consider with costs are, no fitting fee for the PE, about an hour DIY. Clamps are pretty standard, so non OEM would be much cheaper from an exhaust centre. Also, you could go and get the PE from Kent yourself. Oh, and all BMW perf stuff is made specifically for the car, so fits perfectly with no warranty issues. p.s. I thought you said you didn't want your BMW to sound like a rally car. |

Winner for me is the warranty issue. I've already sourced a set of clamps at £5 each from a custom exhaust center near me and as they are 'Professional' exhaust builders/fitters I can trust them with my car. Fitting will be FOC as well as I'm buying a race catted DP for the Impreza whilst I'm there.
Just hope this doesn't go too high otherwise I'd be just as well buying one off BMW for the 2 year warranty. |
