CSL Replicas with winter tyres loads of pics added
Now sold, thanks
Just bought a set of 313's so these are up for sale again if I get a decent offer? I'll be honest and try not to be arrogant but it needs to be decent enough offer as I have a feeling I should keep them in the basement til winter as they have 7mm front and 4mm rear tread (checked by BMW at service last week) so would be ideal to keep and swap over when the weather gets bad. All wheels have minor kerbing. Nothing bad. One front took a ding to the inner rim but it balances up fine. ET40 front and ET27 rear Tyres are all Vredestein Wintrac Extreme. 235 35 19 front 265 30 19 rear. A set costs close to £800 fitted Any genuine interest please PM me, cheers I paid £650 for these last year with cheap and nasty tyres on them. Would take £500 but no less, delivery £50 on top. Ahh right understand now. The backed of the car looks awesome on those csls from your profile pic. Ive got my touring sitting on 19" csls and love it. I'll be keeping it that way as I don't have your engine....only a 320d

How are the wheels clearance wise on the rear with et27 im trying to convince a mate of mine to get some for his 335d but he thinks they wont fit being a low offset, im lead to believe they will as it is a non lci facelift (apparently 8mm narrower track than lci models) some feedback would be great. cheers

Took all wheels off today and here are the pics. Measured tread and fronts over 6mm and rears I would say are nearer 4mm than 5mm with usual inner edge worn more. Front left ding is at 6pm on the photo.
Also added a side view to show how the offsets sit. No ideas what make they are as its only offset and pcd stamped on them. Front Right Rear Right Front Left (with flat spot on inner rim) Rear left Side profile |

Cheers for all the PM's. Just want to clear an issue somebody raised claiming winter tyres are unsafe for summer. I respect your opinion but I've had no issues whatsoever despite mixed driving styles. I even did a drag day on my old set of winters and it gripped very well on stinking hot tarmac at the start line!
Read this article on modern tyres and it clearly states there is no issue running winters all year. I have ran winters all year on our cars without any issues. I agree the softer silica does offer less feel and wears quicker but thats the only con for winters over performance summer tyres. Proven they are within 10% of summer performance tyre grip as detailed in this report but offer 50% more grip in winter. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article...erformance.htm Its down to the quality of the tyre. Of al the winter tyre Ive tried (dunlops, cooper and nokian) the Vredesteins are good. I would say they are close to the nokians for grip in all weathers but not as good as dunlops in winter. Cooper ones are def one to avoid in my experience with terrible feel and poor grip in all inc winter conditions. |

I have heard the e90 has slightly less room than the e91 and some report they fit fine and others say the rub under load. I had 275's on the rear when I got them and they rubbed if I hit dips in the road. The 265's are fine If you had any rubbing I'd be happy to refund if you send them back up though. I have rolled the rear arches when I had the 275's and they were then clear on all but the biggest of dips in the road. I changed to 265's and haven't heard them rub since. Flat spot is not visible when fitted and can't say I notice any imbalance. I prob wouldn't notice as I have some vibration from the downpipes just now!! I've seen WAY worse dings repaired so that would be an option. Any more queries just ask, cheers |

ET27 with 265/30 on 19s is rub free on pre-LCI E90 if wheel is 9 or 9.5J.
Hope it helps to owners of E90.
