With my 335d now sold, I am selling my spare 17” winter wheels set.

They are 4x genuine BMW 339 style alloys, fitted with Continental Winter Contacts TS810S SSR (run flats) all around, and make a huge difference in the cold weather, slush and snow.

The tyres fitted are some of the best you can get – their close relation, the TS830, won the Auto Express winter tyre test:

The alloys
These are genuine BMW alloys, completely unkerbed, no cracks and they run 100% true.

As many of us are perfectionists on here, I thought I’d also add that they haven’t been re-furbed or touched up at all, just very well cared for from new by me and their previous owner on e90post <.

4 genuine, original, BMW centre-caps included.

Fitment / compatibility
These will fit all e90 saloon / e91 touring / e92 coupe / e93 cabrio models (apart from the M3 I believe). I had them running on a 335d with no trouble at all.

All 4 alloys are 17” x 8J, with 225 / 45 / R17 tyres fitted. Although the more powerful models normally run 255mm tyres at the back, I checked extensively before fitting and you’ll see that having 225mm tyres on 8J x 17” alloys is a fully type approved spec from BMW (so as far as the insurance company are concerned you’re fitting type approved parts).

Have a check on your door plaque inside the driver’s door. If it helps, Direct Line added them on at no cost, just said ‘thanks for letting us know.’
For info elsewhere on the forum, this is called running a ‘squared’ setup – i.e. same front and rear.

Tyres

The Continental tyres are all Conti Winter Contact TS810S SSR 225/45/R17 94V XL. These are one of the ‘premium’ (and most expensive!) winter tyres. They’re up there with the Bridgestone Blizzak’s and Michelin Alpin’s. They are also the more expensive run flat model.

Tread / life remaining
Tread-wise, they’ve all got at least 6mm centre and edges, with the pair used on the front having 7.5mm+ – so not far off new and plenty of winters left in them! Detailed tread readings below.
• Tyre 1, Centre 7mm. Edges (2nd tread block in) 7mm
• Tyre 2: Centre 7mm. Edges (2nd tread block in) 7mm
• Tyre 3 : Centre 6mm. Edges (2nd tread block in) 6mm
• Tyre 4: Centre 6mm. Edges (2nd tread block in) 6mm

Value to buy new
To buy a new set would cost £1,144 for the alloys from Alloywheelsdirect.net, (probably a bit more from BMW!) + £721 + for these premium winter tyres + balancing + fitting.


Collect from Surrey KT8 or buyer can arrange courier to collect at own cost.

Just wanted to say that i received these wheels and tyres today and they are in superb condition - already fitted and look great so thanks to E90post and Adoc.for a job well done.
